Audit

A focused diagnostic of one workflow, team, or stalled proof-of-concept. A week or two of work.

Choose this when you're not sure if AI is the right answer, you have a proof-of-concept that hasn't moved in months, or your partners are getting pitched on AI and want a clear read on what's actually viable.

You'll come away with a written diagnostic naming the problem, the realistic options, what's worth doing, what isn't, and what the next two engagements would look like if you decided to move forward.

Not for generating slide decks. If you want a 60-page report with recommendations someone else will execute, this isn't it.

Sprint

A focused build cycle: working code, against real data, on a real workflow. Four to eight weeks alongside your team.

Choose this when you've already framed the problem (often via an Audit) and you need to find out whether the thing can actually work — or you need a small system in production by a fixed date.

You'll come away with working code in your repos, an evaluation suite, monitoring hooked into your tooling, and a handover document. Owned by your team, not licensed from me.

Not for exploratory R&D with no shippable outcome. A sprint is for putting something in users' hands.

Retainer

Monthly time, embedded with a leadership team during a longer rollout. Usually three to six months, thinning toward the end.

Choose this when you've shipped something and now have to live with it — drift, edge cases, new model versions, support, the human-in-the-loop refinements, the partner who needs convincing for the third time.

You'll come away with a system your team can run without me. The point of a retainer is to make itself unnecessary.

Not for unlimited on-call. Retainers buy a defined slice of senior attention each month, not a help desk.

How pricing works

Pricing is by engagement, agreed up front. No hourly billing, no surprise change orders. The shape of the work determines the price — an audit is much smaller than a build sprint; a retainer is monthly.

I don't publish a price list yet. The scope of any engagement shifts enough between practices that a real number is more useful than a starting one. After our first call I'll come back with a written proposal naming the scope, the deliverables, the timeline, and the fee.
